🎓 EDUCATION
A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with specialization in accounting, finance, business administration, commerce or economics AND experience related to positions in the Financial Management Group;
OR
Eligibility for a recognized professional accounting designation. The recognized professional accounting designations are Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), and Certified General Accountant (CGA).

💼 EXPERIENCE
1) Significant* experience in providing guidance, advice and recommendations to management on a wide range of financial management issues in at least one (1) of the following functional areas;
1 ▪️ Financial management advisory services;
2 ▪️ Financial planning, budgeting, forecasting or reporting;
3 ▪️ Accounts payable;
4 ▪️ Accounts receivable;
5 ▪️ Providing financial policy advice and interpreting laws, policies, standards and procedures for financial management;
6 ▪️ Supporting Financial systems;
7 ▪️ Internal audit and controls;
8 ▪️ Corporate accounting, including the preparation of reports to central agencies (Public Accounts, financial statements and other related statutory reports).
* Significant experience (depth and breadth) is defined as experience acquired through the performance of a broad range of related activities in the field of work in question. Such experience is normally acquired through full-time employment over a period of two (2) years. It will be evaluated with regards to amount, complexity and diversity of work handled.

🎓 EDUCATION
Possession of a recognized professional accounting designation (CPA, CA, CMA, or CGA).
💼 EXPERIENCE
One or more of the following qualifications may also be considered an essential qualification based on the requirements of the specific position to be filled. Written communication competency will be assessed throughout the entire selection process.
Various assessment tools may be used in this selection process, such as interview(s), written examination, simulation, candidate achievement record, in basket assessment, samples of previous work, references and/or performance appraisals.
Asset qualifications, operational requirements, top-down and/or random selection may be used at any stage of the selection process to identify which applications will be given further consideration.
A top-down approach (ranking), using cut-off scores, may be used at any stage of the selection process where only the top scoring candidates will be invited to the next stage of the assessment. As such, candidates who attain the pass mark might not be further considered in the process if they do not achieve the desired cut-off score. Please note that different cut-off scores may be used at various stages of the selection process.

Presently, our main official locations are at
Edmonton (Alberta), Vancouver (British Columbia), Regina (Saskatchewan), Winnipeg (Manitoba), Charlottetown (Prince Edward Island), Moncton (New Brunswick), Saint-John (New Brunswick), St. John's (Newfoundland and Labrador), Halifax (Nova Scotia), Toronto (Ontario), Gatineau (Québec), Montréal (Québec), et Fredericton (New-Brunswick).
However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, employees are required to work from home. Based on operational requirement an eventual return to the workplace may be required.
The operational requirement may be to work from a different departmental office location or from an employee’s residence located in Canada.
