Assessment accommodation

Workplace:

The official workplace for the positions to be filled is located in Montreal, QC. Depending on the needs and requirements of the service, the possibility of a telework arrangement could be considered. The request will be assessed in accordance with the provisions of the Directive on Telework. It could also be required to report to the work site on a pre-determined frequency.

Screening questions:

Intent of the process

This process is intended to fill various AS-01 and AS-02 positions within the First Nations and Inuit Health Branch, Quebec Region.

This process can also be used to establish a pool of qualified candidates that can be used to fill positions of various durations within the First Nations and Inuit Health Branch, Aboriginal Services Canada, Quebec Region. Should the successful candidate be a federal government employee, this pool can also be used for acting appointments.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or acceptable combination of education, training and / or experience.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:
AS-01 and AS-02
Relevant experience in client service tasks, either in person, over the phone or by email.
Relevant experience in general administrative support tasks*.
Experience in providing administrative services to management. **

* General office tasks, such as word processing, photocopying, filing and data entry.
** Though not an exhaustive list, this experience may include the following activities: managing an electronic calendar in support of a superior; processing business travel requests; monitoring a budget; processing correspondence; coordinating administrative activities; writing and reviewing reports; organizing meeting or conference logistics; etc.

EXPERIENCE
AS-02
Experience in managing and coordinating administrative activities.

EDUCATION:
Administrative Assistant / Secretarial Studies Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) or any other relevant certified professional education program.
Diploma of Collegial Studies in Office Technology, in Accounting or Management Techniques

EXPERIENCE :
Relevant experience related to human resources management procedures and practices, such as staffing and others.
Experience performing tasks related to financial information or documents (e.g. budget tracking, forecasting, acquisition card reconciliation).
Relevant experience in services for Aboriginal people.
Experience in a supervisory role.
