• Project description - location and size.
• In what capacity you were involved in the project and define your role and responsibility clearly.
• Identify any strategic advice and making recommendations you may have made.
• Include the biggest challenge you faced on this project and how you solved that challenge.
• The current status of the project.
This letter may be used to assess your ability to communicate effectively and professionally in writing.

STEP 2 – SCREENING THE APPLICATIONS:

Duties

These positions report to the Regional Manager, Accommodation Management.
Accommodation Management is responsible for the provision of office accommodation to other government departments.
The positions are responsible for the following:
• managing a portfolio of clients office space needs;
• developing office accommodation strategies, preparing investment management reports, and presenting business cases for project approval;
• leading multi-disciplinary project teams in the delivery of office space projects
• reporting on project scope, schedule and budget; and
• understanding the future of office and modernization; and
• providing client service

Experience:
For AS-04 opportunities:
• *Recent experience working as a project team member actively involved in the planning and implementing of real property projects or strategies
• Experience working with financial budgets
• Experience working on multi-disciplinary teams, working groups or committees

For AS-05 opportunities:
• *Recent and **significant experience in the leading, planning and implementing of ***complex real property projects or strategies
• *Recent and **significant experience in managing project financial budgets including financial tracking of budgets, and/or expenditures
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams, working groups or committees
• **Significant experience preparing business cases or investment analysis reports.

For the purpose of this selection process:
*Recent experience is defined as experience acquired within the last 5 years.
**Significant is defined as one consecutive year and refers to the breadth and depth of experience normally acquired through direct responsibility to a wide and variety of complex files or projects in the field of work in question.
***Complex is defined as a project with a major risk factor, including but not limited to: challenging clients, high security requirements, high media or stakeholder interest, or senior management involvement.

From this process, your application may be considered for either the AS-04 or AS-05 based on assessment results.

If found qualified at the AS-05 level you will be placed in the AS-04 pool.

Public service employees found qualified in this process may be considered for acting, assignment, deployment or secondment.

A random or top down selection of candidates may be used in the determination of those to be given further consideration in the assessment process.

There is a 180 day waiting period before you can reapply if eliminated from the inventory. Your application will not be reconsidered until the waiting period has elapsed.
