Duties

IT-02 - Analyst, Business Line Support (BLS) (Stream 1)
• Define and document system architecture solutions and deployment instructions
• Assist in modernization of IT systems and solutions
• Contribute towards migration to cloud and maintenance of cloud systems
• Provide technical advice, and recommendations to relevant stakeholders

IT-02 - Database Analyst, Database & Data Administration (Stream 2)
• Interpret requirements for database systems
• Define and document system architecture solutions and deployment instructions
• Ensure quality of information in databases
• Follow agile development practices including sprint planning within Microsoft DevOps, and attending daily scrums with business team

IT-02 - Programmer/Analyst, Application & Development (Stream 3)
• Interpret business requirements to develop IT solutions in Microsoft Dynamics
• Analyze technical options, and recommend solutions to relevant stakeholders
• Follow agile development practices including sprint planning within Microsoft DevOps, and attending daily scrums with business team
• Follow Government of Canada standards in development

A pool may be established as a result of this process and may be used to fill similar positions with various tenures, language requirements and security profiles at the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario).

EDUCATION:
Graduation from a two-year program of study from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed

Candidates may be assessed using one or more of the following tools: written test, interview and reference check.

Top down and/or random selection may be used during any stage of the selection process.

Proof of education will be required. Candidates will be asked to provide their proof of education at the interview stage. Preference

Preference will be given to veterans first and then to Canadian citizens and permanent residents, with the exception of a job located in Nunavut, where Nunavut Inuit will be appointed first.
