Intent of the process

The intent of this process is to staff multiple positions within the Transportation Infrastructure Programs Branch of Transport Canada. A pool of qualified candidates may be created for future vacancies within Transport Canada.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Education:
Graduation with a degree* from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization** in Economics, Sociology or Statistics.

* The term “degree” refers to a baccalaureate as established by educational authorities.

**Acceptable specialization is at least 3 post-secondary courses in sociology, economics, or statistics (any combination) The specialization may also be obtained through an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience

Notes:
Candidates must always have a degree. The courses for the specialization must be acceptable and may have been taken at a recognized post-secondary institution, but not necessarily within a degree program in the required specialization.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in gathering, analyzing and synthesizing information from various sources for the purpose of preparing briefing materials, presentations, and correspondences.
- Experience producing visual elements to demonstrate data, trends, workload, project management indicators and/or operational performance.

Experience:
- Experience with statistical software (for example: Excel, Power BI, Tableau)
- Experience interpreting research, legislation, regulations, and/or policies/directives.
- Experience participating in multi-disciplinary teams or in consulting with various stakeholders.

Ability:
- Ability to work with advanced functions of Sharepoint
