The objective of this process is to staff 1 indeterminate position in Goose Bay, Newfoundland.
A pool of partially qualified or qualified candidates may be established for temporary and permanent position with various security levels, language profile and locations.

EDUCATION:
◾ A secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives (see Note 1).
Note:
1. The employer-approved alternatives to a secondary school diploma are:
• A satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission test approved as an alternative to a secondary school diploma; or
• An acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
EXPERIENCE:
◾ EX01. Experience in procurement, contracting or materiel management activities. This includes activities such as:
• Policy or procedural support;
• Compliance and monitoring;
• Action plan development in order to solve problems;
• Development of training requirements;
• Preparing, reviewing, or approving statements of work and/or requirements and evaluation plans;
• Preparing, reviewing, or approving contract terms and conditions;
• Coordinating request for proposals using electronic tendering.
◾ EX02. Significant* experience managing the development or analysis of policies, guidelines, procedures, or reports relating to procurement, contracting or materiel management activities.
◾ EX03. Significant* experience in providing advice to senior management on issues involving procurement, contracting, materiel management, or financial activities.
◾ EX04. Significant* experience negotiating with multiple stakeholders with respect to approaches and solutions related to procurement, contracting, or materiel management requirements.
◾ EX05. Significant* experience in financial management or analysis in support of cyclical forecast reports, contract price analysis, or project costing.
◾ EX06. Experience in planning, assigning and supervising procurement and/or supply chain activities within a team
* Significant is defined as the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with performance of duties for a minimum period of two (2) years.

ABILITY:
◾ Ability to Identify risks in development of mitigation strategies.
ASSET EDUCATION:
◾Graduation with a degree or diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution.
ASSET EXPERIENCE:
◾ AEX01. Experience with roles, functions and inter-relationships of the Department of National Defense with other government departments.
◾ AEX02. Experience working in the federal government procurement and supply policies and procedures.
◾ AEX03. Experience using an integrated financial or materiel management system (such as SAP).
◾ AEX04. Experience working within the Department of National Defence supporting procurement or materiel management functions.
◾ AEX05. Experience working or volunteering in a mixed military/civilian environment.
