Duties

The key responsibilities of the Risk Analyst, Data Analytics, Measurement & Disclosure will include:
- Contributing to the development of OSFI’s climate-related risk data strategy.
- Contributing to the development and future enhancement of a climate-related risk regulatory data return.
- Designing and advancing the implementation of climate-related risk metrics and monitoring tools (including dashboards, heat maps and other analyses).
- Supporting the assessment of the data requirements and testing of climate risk frameworks that will be used to inform OSFI’s assessment of climate-related risks.
- Preparing queries and other data analysis that will support the work of adjacent teams addressing climate-related risk policy and scenario analysis.

This selection process will be used to staff two positions for the Data Analytics, Measurement & Disclosure area in the Climate Risk Hub.

A pool of qualified or partially qualified candidates may be created to staff similar or identical positions with various linguistic profiles and requirements, security profiles and/or various tenures within the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions, which may vary according to the position being staffed.

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION
- A degree from a post-secondary institution with specialization in business, commerce, economics, finance, mathematics, actuarial science, environmental science, engineering, accounting, or other relevant fields.

- Recent* and Significant** experience working in the financial services sector in a data analytics, risk management, actuarial, or financial analysis role or in a supervisory/regulatory environment.
- Recent* and Significant** experience applying business intelligence and other data analytics software/tools to identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in large and complex data sets.
- Recent* and Significant** experience designing analytical reports and tools, including providing input into their content, presentation and functionality.
- Recent* and Significant** experience working on key and impactful projects and initiatives with tight timelines and deliverables.
- Recent* and Significant** practical experience using Business Intelligence software/tools, including Power BI.
