Opportunity #1: The Application Support and Maintenance Division (ASMD) offers a great team environment where you will have the opportunity to work with a multitude of technologies across a diverse software suite, and interact with technical subject matter experts, solution architects, IT Security and desktop engineers which makes for a great environment to learn and grow professionally. ASMD provides modern, secure, relevant, and innovative IT application and maintenance support services to all clients in support of their efforts to achieve their respective mandates. The division is responsible for:
• The development, engineering, integration, maintenance and operations of solutions, applications and COTS products in support to the Canadian Intellectual Property Office (CIPO). CIPO is a Special Operating Agency (SOA) of ISED who are responsible for the administration and processing of the greater part of intellectual property (IP) in Canada. ;
• The maintenance and on-going upgrades of Spectrum and the Corporate Database Management Services and Cloud Support; and
• The maintenance, on-going development and support of corporate systems, such as GCDOCS, IFMS(SAP), CCM Enterprise, Clarity, and IPDFM, and on-going development of the Grants & Contribution system
• The Quality Assurance and Quality Control of IT systems
Opportunity #2: The Digital Workspace Services Division (DWSD) offers a wide variety of work environments within teams such as Desktop Engineering/ Readiness & Rollout, IT Service Management, Modernization, Innovation and Delivery, IT Support Service which includes IT Service Desk, On-Site support and Centre of Expertise. You will have the opportunity to work in a face-paced environment with a multitude of technologies which will enable you to learn and grow professionally. DWSD assist in a variety of activities with the primary duties being but not limited to:
• Incident, Problem, Change and Release Management;
• Gathering and analyzing information from a variety of sources;
• Preparing reports and/or formal presentations;
• Contributing to the development of plans and projects;
• Software packaging;
• Remote Access (GCSRA,ICX) Support;
• Provide software and hardware support for clients remotely or in person;
• Onboarding of new employees;
• Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues;
• Support virtual conferencing equipment
Opportunity #3: The new Transformation Portfolio and Design Branch (TPDB) offers a unique experience working in an agile team to create products from the ground up using new and emerging technologies. TPDB provides innovative product delivery to all clients in support of their efforts to achieve their respective mandates. The Branch is responsible for:
• The research, design, development and implementation of innovative products in support all ISED business lines;
• The on-going development of enterprise capabilities such as Digital ID Verification and Consent Management as well as the transformation of Client Relationship Management (CRM) and Grants & contributions systems; and
• The on-going development in support of the Digital and Data Platform, such as Salesforce, Redhat and AWS Cloud.

- Graduation from a two-year program of study from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed.

Indeterminate incumbents in the IT group on December 9, 2021 who do not possess the education prescribed above, are deemed to meet the minimum education standard based on their education, training and/or experience.
