The Parole Board of Canada (PBC) is an independent administrative tribunal that, as part of the Canadian criminal justice system, makes quality conditional release and record suspension decisions, and clemency recommendations. The PBC contributes to the protection of society by facilitating, as appropriate, the timely reintegration of offenders as law-abiding citizens. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION:
STREAM 1 (CR-04)
ED1: Successful completion of two years of secondary school or employer-approved alternatives (see Note 1).
NOTE 1: The employer-approved alternatives to two years of secondary school is:
- A satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission test approved as an alternative to two years of secondary school.
STREAM 2 (CR-05 / AS-01)
ED2: A secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives (see Note 2).

- A satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission test approved as an alternative to a secondary school diploma .
EXPERIENCE (All Streams):
EXP1 : Experience in the use of Microsoft Office, specifically but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, Power point and Outlook;
EXP2: Experience in general office procedures such as but not limited to: reviewing correspondence, scanning documents, filing, drafting letters and emails.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION (All Streams):
AED: Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution, in a program relevant to the work to be performed.
EXPERIENCE (All Streams):
AEXP1: Experience in extracting pertinent information from documents, and in entering data on a computer system;
AEXP2: Experience in providing administrative support services in a client service environment;
AEXP3: Experience in the provision of accounting services or administrative support in Finance or Procurement such as but not limited to the payment of invoices, billing, preparing or reconciling bank deposits, processing accounts payable or accounts receivable or travel claims or performing account verification;
AEXP4: Experience in the use of computerized financial management systems (such as GX, SAP, Quickbooks, etc.);
AEXP5: Experience in providing administrative support services in staffing, classification or labour relations;
AEXP6: Experience providing administrative and logistical support such as but not limited to: calendar management, coordination and record keeping of meeting minutes.
OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS (All Streams):
- Willing and able to work overtime, sometimes on short notice.
