Duties

Duties primarily include managing relationships with multiple stakeholders, coordinating various committees and developing partnership and networks, particularly in relation to staffing and recruitment.

The Partnerships and Outreach Advisor provides advice and guidance on approaches to outreach activities for Public Service Commission (PSC) initiatives or projects and their implementation.

The Advisor coordinates activities related to the secretarial functions of various committees. These responsibilities include correspondence with a network of internal and external stakeholders, preparation of meeting materials and their coordination.

The Strategic Directions and Partnerships team coordinates outreach activities with external partners and manages international, federal, provincial and territorial commitments and engagements.

Intent of the process

The intent of this process is to staff one position on an indeterminate basis where the designated workplace is 22 Eddy Street, in Gatineau, Quebec. A telework arrangement could be considered from anywhere in Canada however you might be required to report to the Gatineau office on an ad hoc basis. If the telework agreement comes to an end, you will be required to report to and work onsite from the Gatineau office.

A pool of qualified and partially qualified candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions on an indeterminate or term basis with various linguistic requirements/profiles, and/or security requirements within the public service.

Education:

Degree equivalency

Experience:
EX1. Significant experience in developing and maintaining relationships and liaising with multiple stakeholders

EX3. Experience in coordinating, analyzing and reporting on information from multiple sources

Preference

Preference will be given to veterans first and then to Canadian citizens and permanent residents, with the exception of a job located in Nunavut, where Nunavut Inuit will be appointed first.
