Important messages

All information received in relation to accommodation will be kept confidential.

Assessment accommodation

Candidates must clearly demonstrate IN THEIR COVERING LETTER, using concrete examples, how they meet the education and experience listed in the essential qualifications AS WELL AS the asset qualifications (if applicable). The screening board cannot make any assumptions about your experience. Please note it is not sufficient to only state that the qualification is met or to provide a listing of current or past responsibilities. Candidates must apply the following approach: use each screening qualification as a heading, and provide a description outlining how that qualification is met. Resumes will be used as a secondary source to validate the information produced by the candidate in the covering letter. APPLICATIONS THAT DO NOT CLEARLY SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH SCREENING CRITERIA WILL NOT BE RETAINED. CANDIDATES WILL NOT BE SOLICITED FOR INCOMPLETE OR POSSIBLE MISSING INFORMATION.

Note 1: The COVERING LETTER should be written according to the level of experience of the candidate, either novice (PE-01), intermediate (PE-02) or advanced (PE-03). For example, if the candidate is applying for a position at the novice level (PE-01), he must describe how he meets the essential qualifications (education and experience) of the PE-01 level. The same thinking must be applied for candidates seeking a PE-02 or PE-03 position.

Note 2: PE-01 positions are development positions. This means that the candidate has the opportunity to develop within the organization and inside the position up to the PE-03 level. The development is supervised by senior advisors and the team leader. The candidate has the opportunity to work on complex files with the help of the supervisor. The RCMP is a rewarding environment for learning all aspects of labor relations.

All job applications must be submitted through the GC Jobs Web site (www.jobs.gc.ca). No job application submitted by email will be accepted.
