KEY ACTIVITIES
- Researches, reviews and analyzes information/documents from client departments (employees, managers and/or departmental Human Resources); researches and analyzes subjects such as employee data, acts, regulations, collective agreements, pension and insurance plans prior to the provision of advice and guidance; where files with higher levels of complexity are escalated to Compensation Advisors.
- Provides information and recommendations to client departments and agencies, employees, managers and human resources practitioners to determine entitlements with respect to a variety of compensation and benefits issues and provides guidance and information to employees with respect to entitlements, options and implications
- Responds to client queries to identify problems; guides clients in articulating their information needs; clarifies the nature, scope and intent of their service needs; and ensures that these needs are addressed and in compliance with compensation, systems, processes and procedures.
- Examines, analyzes and processes a variety of compensation transactions and maintains the integrity of data in compensation systems including employees’ pay and leave records; seeks clarification of discrepancies; and ensures compliance with policies for various insurance plans.
- Researches, clarifies and applies changes in federal and provincial legislation, regulations, collective agreements, insurance plans, and new government programs affecting employees’ compensation and determining the implications of these changes for employees.

EDUCATION

EXPERIENCES
-Experience in providing administrative support services**
**Administrative support services is defined as, but not limited to: preparing various types of documentation, answering inquiries and providing information as required, data entry, performing reception duties, mail duties, procuring office equipment and supplies, maintaining a filing system, making copies, sending and receiving correspondence, and/or performing a variety of other office tasks.
-Experience in client service delivery.
-Experience in the use of each of the following: word processing, spreadsheet and email software.
