Intent of the process

The intention of this selection process is to staff 5 Internal Auditor (AS-04) positions with the language requirement bilingual imperative BBB/BBB on an indeterminate basis. A pool of partially qualified and/or fully qualified candidates resulting from this process may be established to staff similar positions within Global Affairs Canada with various language requirements and/or various tenures, according to the positions being staffed.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution.

Degree equivalency

Experience:

Recent and significant** experience in participating in internal or external audits.

Experience in preparing briefing documents.

**Recent and significant experience is defined as the depth and breadth of the experience normally associated with the performance of the duties for a period of at least one (1) year acquired in the last three (3) years approximately.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS :

Eligibility for a recognized professional accounting designation (CPA, CA, CMA or CGA).

Eligibility or possession of a Certified Internal Auditor certification (CIA).

Possession of a Master’s degree in any field relevant to the work to be performed.

Degree equivalency

Experience in data analytics (e.g. analyzing sets of data from the financial system (SAP) using software such as ACL or IDEA or applying data by other tools such as the enterprise application SAP).

Experience in using tools such as MS Power Business intelligence (BI) to report results of data analysis.

ORGANIZATIONAL NEEDS:

Conditions of employment

Availability, willingness and ability to travel occasionally (up to 5 percent of the time) within Canada and abroad for a period of up to two (2) weeks at a time.
Availability, willingness, and ability to work overtime upon request and on short notice.
Willingness and able to work in a hybrid model environment requiring working remotely and at the office.
Obtain secret security clearance upon appointment and maintain it throughout the period of employment.
