Salary, Allowances, and Benefits:

In addition to salary, you are entitled to isolated post allowances. This can range from $18,000 to $25,000 per year. You are also entitled to an annual vacation travel allowance.

Administrative Assistant: Contaminants and Remediation Division - Working within a team to support remediation projects with administrative support in the areas of goods and services procurement, monitoring expenditures, and budgetary tracking.

Administrative Assistant: Corporate Secretariat and Communications Division – Working with a team of creative professionals, the candidate will be responsible for budgetary tracking, conducting daily media scans, supporting the movement of correspondence between the region and headquarters, assisting with event planning and implementation, and performing general administrative duties to support the division.

Administrative Assistant: Administration and Support Services, Corporate Services Division - This position supports the work unit in its mandate provide services to CIRNAC NT Region. The candidate will provide administrative support in the areas of goods and services procurement, monitoring expenditures, and budgetary tracking.

Information Management and Records Operations Officer: The successful candidate for this role will perform information holdings services in electronic and physical media for the regional office. They will analyze, classify, and create new records and files from incoming information, and review and analyze outgoing documents and files. They will conduct document and file research through client discussion and consultation.

While candidates will be assessed for all four of these positions, within the application you will have an opportunity to indicate your preference for any particular role(s).

Intent of the process

This process will be used to fill current vacancies and to establish a pool of qualified candidates for future opportunities.

It may also be used to staff similar positions with various tenures (Deployment, Assignment, Secondment, Acting, Term or Indeterminate) within Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada (CIRNAC) with various security requirements (reliability or secret).

• Experience using an electronic document and records management system or collaboration solution.
• Experience applying IM-related legislation (e.g., Access to Information and Privacy Acts), policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Experience performing basic budgeting and financial management tasks. This could include, but not limited to, processing payments for invoices, or tracking budgets and expenses, or preparing forecasts, or reconciling expenses, or performing basic bookkeeping tasks.
• Experience using electronic financial management tools and/or software.
• Experience supporting or planning internal or external events.
