The International, Provincial and Territorial Relations Division of the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer is seeking a Policy and Research Analyst on a term basis until August 2023, with the possibility of extension. The position is classified at the EC-05 level.
The immediate intent of this process is to staff one (1) determinate position with the possibility of extension and bilingual imperative CBC/CBC linguistic profile.
In addition, a pool of fully or partially qualified candidates will be established to staff similar or identical positions within Elections Canada with various tenures (indeterminate, various specified periods) and various linguistic profiles (Bilingual imperative CBC/CBC, BBB/BBB, English or French essential).

EDUCATION:
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in economics, sociology or statistics.
Note: Candidates must always have a university degree. The courses for the specialization do not necessarily have to be part of a degree program in the required specialization. The specialization may also be obtained through an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
EXPERIENCE:
Experience in conducting research or analysis.

Experience collaborating with external stakeholders.

Master’s degree from a recognized university in a field related to the position.
Experience:
Experience in international relations or inter-provincial relations.
Work experience in the democracy field.
Experience in representing an organization at external events.
Professional working proficiency in Spanish to, for example, welcome unilingual Spanish-speaking delegations.
Reliability Status security clearance
Availability for work and consultation after normal working hours, including weekends and holidays.
Willingness and ability to travel across Canada and/or abroad as needed, including by plane.
Consent to observe strict political impartiality and neutrality for the duration of employment.
A working internet connection is required to perform the job tasks.
