The IT Assets Administrator position is an exceptional opportunity within the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) F Division Informatics Program within the IT Assets Unit. You will be responsible for providing administrative and support services to the Division Informatics Officer, the Informatics Operational Support Manager and the IT Assets Manager within an asset management environment. Working effectively with external procurement partners (e.g. Shared Services Canada, North West Region Procurement), vendors, and internal clients, you will facilitate the procurement of informatics goods and services for F Division. The IT Asset Administrators manage informatics assets from initial order through disposal, and adheres to Information Technology (IT) asset procurement, inventory and maintenance policies for the RCMP. You will perform contract management for leased multi-function devices within the Division. This position is involved with RCMP IT initiatives such as the deployment of Android devices, and the upgrade of the existing inventory tracking software to the new platform.
This process will be used to staff two indeterminate full time positions. A pool of qualified candidates will be created and may be used to staff positions with various tenures (indeterminate, specified period, deployment and acting).
Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM. Information regarding the CM appointment will be sent to all applicable candidates who are within the area of selection and participated in the advertised process.

The successful applicant will have to obtain an RCMP security clearance. The process also requires a Security/Reliability Interview, a field investigation in matters of credit/finances, education, employment, references, on-line activities, alcohol and/or drug use, etc.
Successful applicant is required to work in Regina, Saskatchewan. There is an option for hybrid telework.
Preference will be given to veterans first and then to Canadian citizens and permanent residents, with the exception of a job located in Nunavut, where Nunavut Inuit will be appointed first.
