Assessments may be conducted in any order and at any phase of the process:
• A variety of evaluation tools, methods and assessment timelines may be used throughout the process, including, but not limited to, standardized tests (ex: EPSI), exams, interviews, reviews of past performance and accomplishments, references, etc.:
• If you are successful in a pool, references may be contacted informally;
• Your first official language (English or French - the official language in which you are generally more proficient) will be assessed.
When providing your references, please include the following:
1) Recent supervisor/manager;
2) Previous supervisor/manager;
3) Recent client or colleague.
• You must include their full name, title, e-mail address, and phone number.
We may also request the following information in any order, at any phase of the process:
• Security clearance Information, if applicable;
• Proof of education, including Canadian equivalency;
• Second Language Evaluation (SLE) results, if applicable.
All of the information collected during the selection process, including behaviour and communication, from the time of application until the end of the process, may be used to evaluate candidates.

- The intent of this selection process is to appoint candidates who are successful in the pool when vacancies arise within the Communications Branch at Infrastructure Canada.
- Once Infrastructure Canada has concluded their initial appointments, the pool may be shared with other government departments.

EDUCATION
ED1: A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution.

1. Based on their education, training and/or experience, indeterminate incumbents of positions in the IS classification are deemed to meet the minimum education standard whenever a bachelor’s degree without specialization is called for in a position classified as IS.

EXPERIENCE
E1: *Significant experience in writing a variety of **communications products.
E2: *Significant experience in coordinating communications activities (virtual or in-person).
E3: *Significant experience in liaising with clients, partners or ***stakeholders on **communications products.
E4: *Significant experience providing strategic advice and guidance to clients and management (a high level authority figure who is considered a decision-maker OR defined as EX minus 1 (or equivalent) or above).

ASSET EXPERIENCE
AE1: Experience using graphic design software and creating graphics for publications, web content, intranet or promotional products.
