• Provide strategic financial recommendations expertise and information to CGC employees, managers and external clients
• Liaise with representatives from various organizations internal and external to CGC to achieve work objectives
• Collect, consolidate, analyse and present financial and non-financial data and related research
• Manage human resources including activities such as staffing, training, performance management and assessments
• Lead projects impacting various parts of CGC.
• Making strategic recommendations on options to senior management for improvements and efficiencies.

Anticipated number of positions that may be staffed with this advertised process : 2 indeterminate positions minimum over the next 1-3 years
A pool of qualified candidates will be established and used for various linguistic profiles ( bilingual imperative BBB/BBB,CBC/CBC,CCC/CCC and staffing actions such as : acting appointment, secondment, deployment and casuals, over the life of the pool (approximately 3 years).
All federal organizations listed in Schedules I, IV and V of the Financial Administration Act (FAA) may use this selection process to appoint a candidate to its organization in a similar position.

Education
• An eligibility for a recognized professional accounting designation. The recognized professional accounting designations are Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Certified General Accountant (CGA)
Experience
• Experience applying laws, policies, rules, regulations and standards.
• Experience using financial knowledge, information and ERP systems e.g. SAP, Oracle.
• Experience providing advice and recommendations to senior management.
• Experience implementing process improvements utilizing technology and other methodologies.
• Experience managing human resources.
