Duties

TEAM MANAGER, CONTACT CENTRE
Management of a team of Contact Centre Information Officers who field client calls and queries related to the department’s policies, programs, services and activities. Team Managers are responsible for monitoring and managing the performance of staff and operations to ensure that service standards are met.
EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT
Executive Assistants are responsible for managing the Director General’s schedule and calendar, managing the flow of documentation, and facilitating the management of office operations. Executive Assistants must maintain a good understanding of the Farm Income Programs Directorate (FIPD) programs, policies and practices to determine the proper handling of incoming correspondence and requests.
PROJECT OFFICER
Project Officers support working groups and committees by chairing committees, documenting minutes, and following up to keep project deliverables on-track. Project Officers also complete project management activities such as developing project plans, timelines, status updates and manage issue resolution processes.
REQUIREMENTS ANALYST
Requirements Analysts maintain contacts with representatives of other departments, levels of government, industry, public sector organizations and associations. Requirements Analysts also consult with clients on a regular basis to anticipate evolving requirements and work in collaboration with team members to provide subject matter expertise to various business working groups.
TECHNICAL COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER
Technical Communications Officers develop clear and concise program publications, technical communications templates, website content, speaking notes, letters and other communication products that accurately reflect program policy.
PROGRAM POLICY ANALYST
Program Policy Analysts research, review, analyze and resolve administrative policy issues related to business risk management programs and participate in project management teams providing subject matter expertise. They also prepare responses to ministerial and administrative correspondence, develop briefing materials for senior management, and provide support with federal-provincial-territorial relations.
PLANNING OFFICER
Planning Officers provide advice and support to Directors and Managers conducting staffing processes and/or coordinate directorate-wide staffing processes. Planning Officers also liaise with various HR disciplines as required and develop reports for workforce management and HR planning purposes. They also provide analysis on a variety of issues and coordinate corporate training and contracts as required.
TEAM MANAGER - INFORMATION MANAGEMENT
The Information Management Team oversees Access to Information and Privacy (ATIP) activities, performs database quality assurance, and manages the review, maintenance, distribution, retrieval, archival, and disposal of client and administration information materials in the document lifecycle.
TEAM MANAGER – DATA INTEGRITY
The Data Integrity Team oversees the receipt of program applications, fees and correspondence, provides advice, service and support to Directorate on issues, options and requirements related to client information.

Intent of the process

Farm Income Programs Directorate (FIPD) is always looking for dynamic and dedicated individuals to be part of our growing team that administers farm programs to Canadian Agricultural Producers! This selection process will be used to fill immediate and future Full-time permanent and temporary vacancies located in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The duties of the positions we are looking to staff are detailed in the "Duties" section. There is a possibility that other positions will be staffed using this process.

We have an immediate need to fill the following positions:
- Team Manager, Contact Centre (bilingual)
- Technical Communications Officer
- Program Policy Analyst

✔Experience producing technical documents, such as forms, guides and handbooks.
✔Experience in producing and interpreting various reports for key decision makers.
✔Experience working with programs supporting the agriculture and agri-food industry.
✔Experience analyzing information, providing interpretation or processing applications for Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada's AgriStability and AgriInvest programs.
✔Experience in gathering, documenting and analyzing business requirements.
✔Experience researching, analyzing issues/information and providing solutions based on the interpretation of policies, procedures or legislation.
✔Experience consulting or collaborating with various stakeholders such as clients, partners, or government.
✔Experience managing activities related to the Access to Information and Privacy (ATIP) Acts and on Information Management Policies and Directives.
