In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

EDUCATION:
A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution or an *acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
*Definition of acceptable combination: A minimum of two (2) post-secondary courses or training and at least two (2) years of work experience focusing on web programming.

Based on their education, training and/or experience, indeterminate incumbents of positions in the IS classification are deemed to meet the minimum education standard whenever a bachelor’s degree without specialization is called for in a position classified as IS.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:
Recent** and significant* experience coding HTML5 and CSS3 web documents within an office setting.
Recent** experience with HTML coding according to WCAG 2.0 accessibility standards, level AA within an office setting.

DEFINITION:
*Significant experience means the depth and breadth of experience on a continuous basis exercising these duties for at least two (2) years.
**Recent experience is defined as experience normally acquired within the last twenty-four (24) months.

The following will be applied / assessed at a later date (essential for the job)

English or French

Information on language requirements

KNOWLEDGE:
Knowledge of website accessibility guidelines (WCAG 2.0, level AA).
Knowledge of a variety of research methods with a focus on usability or user experience testing.

ABILITIES:
Ability to program in CSS 3 to adapt web pages for mobile devices.
Ability to program in HTML5.
Ability to communicate effectively orally.

EXPERIENCE:
Experience programming in ASP.net
Experience programming in Javascript
Experience programming in Content Management Systems (CMS)
