The duties of the Collection Circulation Supervisor are varied. Theincumbent not only interacts with various stakeholders but also worksdirectly with the collections to make it accessible to the Canadian public.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
→ Plan, coordinate and supervise the work of a dynamic and experienced team whose mandate is to make the collections accessible and ensure their preservation.
→ Ensure rigorous control and monitoring of the movement of collections.
→ Coordinate activities and projects that relate to the circulation of collections.

EDUCATION:
Successful completion of two years of a post-secondary school program with acceptable specialization in social science, statistics, library/archival work/museum or a law-related field.
Note:
1. At the manager’s discretion, an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience that is comparable to the minimum education stated above, may serve as an alternative. Whenever the minimum educational standard is met through an alternative, it is met only for the position being
staffed, and a candidate must be re-assessed for future appointments and deployments if the manager has asked for this alternative.
2. "Social science" includes economics, political science, sociology, anthropology, history, psychology, geography, criminology, and other disciplines associated with social science. “Library/archival work” includes gallery and museum functions.
EXPERIENCE:
Experience in client service delivery;
Experience in working in an operational environmentwith tight deadlines;
Experience in applying policies, or procedures or legislation;
Experience in supervising employees;
Experience in planning and coordination of operations* in an environment similar to warehouse, OR distribution centre, OR record office OR in a museum institution (ex. archival center, museum, library, etc.).
*Operations is defined as activities such as but not limited to the production, the quality of work, achievement of the results, etc.).

- The position located in Renfrew is English essential.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT :
Security clearance : Top Secret;
Willing and able to lift and carry boxes weighing up to 20kg;
Willing and able to work at the work site located in Gatineau, QC or Ottawa, ON.
OPERATIONAL NEEDS :
Willing and able to work overtime on short notice.

On October 6, 2021, the Government of Canada announced details of its plans to require vaccination across the federal public service. As per the new Policy on COVID-19 Vaccination for the Core Public Administration Including the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, federal public servants in the Core Public Administration and members of the RCMP must attest to their vaccination status.
