Work environment

Procurement Assistance Canada (PAC) within Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) in the Atlantic Region provides a diverse and inclusive work environment, often in a virtual context backed by a small yet strong and integrated team. PAC is responsible for delivering an effective outreach and engagement strategy in Atlantic Canada to provide information to businesses, particularly small and medium enterprises, about how to navigate the federal procurement system and how to do business with the Government of Canada in order to create a more open, fair and inclusive procurement process. Intent of the process

The immediate need is to staff one (1) position on an indeterminate basis, with a linguistic profile of Bilingual BBB/BBB.

A pool of candidates may be established through this process to staff similar positions at an identical or equivalent group and level with various linguistic requirements and various security profiles at Public Services and Procurement Canada in the Atlantic Region.

Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization* in economics, sociology or statistics.

*The courses for the specialization do not necessarily have to be part of a degree program in the required specialization. The specialization may also be obtained through an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE

Significant experience* in analyzing and interpreting information or data from a variety of sources.

Experience liaising with a variety of stakeholders (e.g. government departments/agencies, non-governmental organizations, private sector entities) to advance organizational mandates.

Significant experience* in drafting a variety of documents, such as background papers, briefing notes, memos, summaries, speaking notes or presentations for management**.

*Significant experience is defined as the depth and breadth of experience that would normally be acquired over a minimum of 2 years.
**Management is defined as a supervisor/superior at the Manager level or above.
