Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) helps the Government of Canada serve Canadians. The immediate intention of this selection process is to fill five (5) indeterminate positions in Gatineau, QC / Ottawa, ON within Public Services and Procurement Canada, Digital Services Branch.
A partially assessed pool* may be established through this process to staff identical or similar positions with various language requirements and various security requirements, within Public Services and Procurement Canada.
* Partially qualified simply means that the candidates will be deemed qualified except for the linguistic and security profiles which will be evaluated at a later date should the candidate be considered for an appointment.
Note that a telework agreement could be granted, however this is a temporary agreement. This could be modified or revoked at any time. Employees may be required to physically go to the workplace.

Graduation from a two-year program of study from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed.
Note:
1. Indeterminate incumbents in the IT group on December 9, 2021 who do not possess the education prescribed above, are deemed to meet the minimum education standard based on their education, training and/or experience. They must be accepted as having met the minimum education standard whenever this standard is called for when staffing positions in the IT group.
2. Indeterminate incumbents of positions in the CS group on May 10, 1999, who do not possess the education prescribed above, are deemed to meet the minimum education standard based on their education, training and/or experience. They must be accepted as having met the minimum education standard whenever this standard is called for when staffing positions in the IT group.
3. At the managerโs discretion, an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience may serve as an alternative to the minimum education stated above. Whenever the minimum education is met using this alternative, it is met for the specific position only and must be re-assessed for other positions for which this alternative has been specified by the manager.

Definitions
* Significant experience: Is defined as experience associated with having performed a broad range of related and complex activities which could normally be acquired over a period of approximately two years.
** Recent experience: Is defined as the experience acquired within the last five years.
*** Senior management indicates Director level (IT-05/EX-01 or equivalent) or above.
**** Human Resources Management: Applicants must clearly demonstrate that they have managed human resources. Some examples of managing human resources may include but not limited to: assigning work, managing performance, developing resourcing plans, determining needs and approving training, etc.
***** Financial Management: Some examples of managing financial resources may include but not limited to: full or partial delegation for a budget, forecasting, planning, budget allocation, reporting, contract management, expenditure tracking etc.

Candidates invited for further assessment will be required to provide proof of their education credentials in the form of a diploma or official transcript (original documents only). Candidates with foreign credentials will be asked to provide proof of Canadian Equivalency. ASSESSMENT
Any assessment method that is considered appropriate to determine whether a person meets the qualifications may be used in no specific order, such as but not limited to, written exam, interviews, and reference checks.
Reference checks will be conducted. Candidates should be prepared to provide the names and coordinates of their referees. Some or all of these individuals may be contacted. Referees must have an in-depth knowledge of your work, and must be able to answer specific questions pertaining to your achievements and qualifications as provided in your application, or at any point during the assessment phase. The Assessment Committee reserves the right to contact references other than the ones submitted by the candidates, if necessary, in order to make a suitable assessment of the candidates.
Persons are entitled to participate in the selection process in the official language of their choice.
Communication for this process will be sent via email. It is the responsibility of the candidate to ensure accurate contact information is provided and updated as required.
