Working at the BC Regional office of ISC offers a unique opportunity to:

Intent of the process

We are looking for PM-04s to respond to a variety of immediate needs. Current opportunities may be temporary or indeterminate and a variety of staffing mechanisms may be considered, including but not limited to, assignments, secondments and deployments. Depending on future needs and the organization’s needs, acting opportunities may also be considered.

A pool of qualified candidates may be established through this process to staff identical or similar positions, with various tenures depending on organizational needs within Indigenous Services Canada in Vancouver, British Columbia.

A secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives (see Note 1).

Note 1: The employer-approved alternatives to a secondary school diploma are:
o A satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission test approved as an alternative to a secondary school diploma; or
o An acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience defined as; significant*, recent* government program delivery experience in a program area relevant to the position.

*Significant means for a minimum of 2 years
*Recent means in the last 5 years.

Degree equivalency

• Experience in providing advice and recommendations to stakeholders on program issues.

• Experience in developing briefing and reporting material in support of policies and programs.

• Experience interpreting and applying statues, regulations or policies.

• Experience working on projects.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Willingness and ability to travel by various modes of transportation (small and large aircraft, vehicles and/or boats), in various weather conditions, often to remote communities with few amenities.

14. On October 6, 2021, the Government of Canada announced details of its plans to require vaccination across the federal public service.
As per the new Policy on COVID-19 Vaccination for the Core Public Administration Including the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, federal public servants in the Core Public Administration and members of the RCMP must attest to their vaccination status.
