Duties

This position plans and manages all administrative support as well as administrative services and coordination of daily activities for the Assistant Commissioner. Organizes, prioritizes, collects and supervises confidential, critical and sensitive information sent to the Assistant Commissioner’s office and acts as a point of contact for the Assistant Commissioner. Identifies urgent and critical issues and advises the Assistant Commissioner and Directors. Reports any new issues, recommends the level of attention and intervention required by the Assistant Commissioner and coordinates follow-up action. Prepares sensitive documents for departmental meetings between the Assistant Commissioner and senior CCG and DFO officials. Provides functional guidance to administrative staff involved in the operational and administrative activities of the Assistant Commissioner’s office, with the goal of meeting with them regularly to discuss service delivery standards. Leads special projects or participates in key committees related to the development of administrative strategies.

A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

Experience using the Microsoft Office suite, such as Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams
Experience in providing executive support services for a senior executive*

Experience liaising with internal and external clients/stakeholders
