Under supervision, the candidate will conduct research to support the development of the 2023 Canadian Antimicrobial Resistance Surveillance System (CARSS) Report and companion products to ensure they meet the needs of knowledge users and the exchange of timely information to support evidence-informed decision-making.
The Public Health Agency of Canada is part of the federal health portfolio. Its activities focus on preventing disease and injuries, responding to public health threats, promoting good physical and mental health, and providing information to support informed decision making.
The successful candidate will work with the Public Health Intelligence and Knowledge Translation Division, which sits within the Corporate Data and Surveillance Branch. Possibility to work remotely (virtually) from anywhere in Canada to be discussed with successful candidates.

Enrolled in the University of Toronto Master of Science in Biomedical Communications program full time.
Experience:
Experience in the use of images, interactive technologies, and animation/simulation to effectively communicate complex science and health topics to a range of audiences
Abilities:
Ability to write and communicate results effectively to diverse audiences.

Knowledge of new visual communication tools, theories, and best-practices for the purpose of educating medical, allied health, and non-medical audiences.
