Duties

Stream 1: Business Analyst
This position is in the Real Property Business Management unit:
Duties as a Business Analyst may include, but not limited to:
• Coordinates the development of various business planning activities; assists the Senior Advisor in the preparation of various financial, operational, planning, budgeting and analytical activities.
• Develops processes and performance measurement criteria suitable to monitor and evaluate business achievements, customer retention and client satisfaction against business plans and client expectations.
• Collects and analyses data from various departmental systems to determine effective profitability of delivered services and economical support services.
• Assists managers in defining corporate support requirements and strategic alliances with other business branches to ensure the most effective business operation.
• Directs staff in the development, analysis, and preparation of reports.


Stream 2: Program Manager
This position is in the Real Property Accommodation Management unit:
Duties as a Program Manager may include, but not limited to:
• Coordinates and manages the activities of the Accommodation Management Business Unit including staffing levels, budgets, workload management and training requirements.
• Provides strategic advice and recommendations to the Manager, Accommodation Management based on analysis of information gathered through continuous environmental scanning of issues, trends and developments related to the Accommodation Management program.
• Analyzes and documents business processes and problems. Develops solutions to enhance efficiencies and improve the operating quality of the Accommodation Management branch.
• Directs staff in the development, analysis, and preparation of reports used by Accommodation Management.

Degree equivalency

Experience:
1. Significant* experience in analyzing data from various information sources
2. Significant* experience in using spreadsheet software to create and modify reports (including but not limited to the use of formulas, sorting, and filtering)
3. Experience providing advice and recommendations to management on one or more of the following: business procedures, financial management, administrative or system matters
4. Experience leading a team or project

Significant* is defined by the depth, breadth and complexity of the activities performed as it relates to this position, typically acquired in a full calendar or fiscal year cycle.

Education:
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution

Experience:

3. Experience developing project or business unit work plans
4. Experience in the use of SAP modules to generate data reports.
5. Experience in the advance use of Excel spreadsheet software (at a minimum, the use of pivot tables and vLookups) to create reports
