- Develop visuals, and infographics for communications materials (i.e. web, social media, internal communications);
- Provide photography or video production services for clients in the Pacific Region;
- Create agile, open and accessible digital products in an engaging and informative way for graphics, videos and shareables for social media and the web;
- Apply Transport Canada and Government of Canada policies and requirements for branding on visual communications products;
- Collaborate within the Creative Services team to produce high-quality visual communications products;
- Provide advice on the best visual communications products, distribution methods, and channels to meet specific needs and to reach target audiences; and
- Provide support to developing and writing stories for Transport Canada’s regional internal newsletter.

Your résumé.
A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with a specialization in graphic design, multimedia, video production or a similar field related to the position OR an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
Experience in designing and producing visual communications products for a variety of media and audiences.
Experience in using the Adobe Creative Suite for producing graphics or videos.**
Experience in providing advice to clients, customers, supervisors and/or management on visual communications products.
Experience in producing or adapting visual communications products for use on the web and in social media to reach various audiences on different channels or media.
Recent* experience in all stages of graphic design and/or video production from initiation and planning through to conception and completion**
Experience in writing and editing text for a reading audience.
* Recent experience is defined as experience acquired in the last five (5) years.

On October 6, 2021, the Government of Canada announced details of its plans to require vaccination across the federal public service.
As per the new Policy on COVID-19 Vaccination for the Core Public Administration Including the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, federal public servants in the Core Public Administration and members of the RCMP must attest to their vaccination status. The requirement for employees to be fully vaccinated applies whether they are teleworking, working remotely or working on-site. This is a condition of employment and it applies to indeterminate (permanent), determinate (term), casual, and student hiring. Should you reach the point in the selection process where it is necessary to verify terms and conditions of employment then the hiring manager or a human resources representative will contact you in order to complete an attestation.
Interested persons must meet each essential qualification to be appointed to the position; however, a person may be appointed to the position even though he/she does not meet any or all of the asset qualifications, operational requirements or organizational needs. Meeting these criteria is desirable and may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed. Please note that assets may be used at the screening stage.

A top-down screening approach may be undertaken. Only the top ranking candidates may be invited to the assessment phase of the process.
Please note that for candidates applying from outside the public service, the Department will not reimburse travel expenses linked to the assessment process; however, every reasonable effort will be made to minimize travel costs for candidates who will undergo assessment.
Preference will be given to veterans first and then to Canadian citizens and permanent residents, with the exception of a job located in Nunavut, where Nunavut Inuit will be appointed first.
