As Regional Manager of Geomatic Services, you participate as a member of the Real Property Professional and Technical Services management team at Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC). Professional and Technical Services is responsible for Architecture and Engineering, Project Management, and the management of Real Property across the Atlantic provinces. As such, you have the opportunity to participate and influence the orientations for your branch and for the organization as a whole. You will be responsible for a team of professionals who offer a range of varied and innovative services in geomatics including, legal and land surveying, Geographic Information Systems(GIS), hydrographic services, the preparation and verification of technical specifications in support of public tenders, spatial 3D modeling and virtual reality, CADD Services, mapping, spatial data management and BIM, and more. Your main clients include the other Real Property sectors within PSPC as well as other Government Departments to support their needs.

This is an anticipatory process to staff a bilingual imperative CBC/CBC Regional Manager Geomatic Services position in one of the following locations: Halifax (Nova Scotia), Sydney (Nova Scotia), Moncton (New Brunswick), Saint John (New Brunswick), Charlottetown (Prince Edward Island), Corner Brook (Newfoundland and Labrador), St. John's (Newfoundland and Labrador).

EDUCATION:
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in land survey theory and practice or other related field such as geomatics, geodetic sciences or remote sensing.
EXPERIENCE:
Significant* experience in managing all aspects of financial and human resources such as the establishment of business priorities, resourcing strategies or planning, performance management, and managing operating or project budgets.
* Significant experience is defined as the depth and breadth of experience associated with performance of these duties for period of approximately 2 years.
Experience in building and maintaining collaborative, productive relationships or partnerships with various stakeholders.
Experience in providing advice and guidance on issues related to Geomatics such as legal land surveying, hydrography, Geographic Information Systems, facilities spatial information such as Building Information Models or the management geospatial data.
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
Asset Certifications:
Registration as a Canada Lands Surveyor
Registration as a Professional Land Surveyor within a province in Canada.
Registration as a Professional Engineer in Canada.
Certification under the Canadian Hydrographic Certification Program
Asset Experience:
Experience in the application of information management policies and practices as it relates to Real Property spatial information holdings.
Experience in developing and implementing procurement strategies for the services of professional consultants in surveys, modelling and spatial information management.
Experience in the development and implementation of organizational transformation initiatives.
Significant experience* in the planning and managing of geomatics projects and the delivery of geomatics services.
* Significant experience is defined as the depth and breadth of experience associated with performance of these duties for period of approximately 2 years.
