The intent of the process is to staff one (1) position on an indeterminate basis.
A pool of partially/or fully qualified candidates may be established and could be used to fill identical or similar temporary (term, acting, assignment or secondment) or permanent positions within Transport Canada.

EDUCATION:
ED1: Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution or a combination of a secondary school diploma and post-secondary education, training and/or experience in a related field.
EXPERIENCE:
EX1: Significant* experience in issues management, including identifying and analyzing issues and emerging issues, developing strategies and/or providing advice and recommendations to senior management on high profile, sensitive, and/or critical issues.
EX2: Significant* experience in conducting research or analyzing information.
EX3: Significant* experience in collaborating with internal and external partners or stakeholders including advising and consulting services.
EX4: Significant* experience in writing, editing and revising a broad range of briefing material (see note 1) on program issues (see note 2) for quality, consistency, relevance and accuracy for information and decision-making of senior management.
*Significant is defined as the depth and breadth of experience normally acquired over a period of at least three (3) years and that it was a core responsibility of the position.
NOTE 1: Briefing material means written material and includes, but is not limited to: Questions and Answers, briefing notes, backgrounders, issue papers, key messages, scenario notes, presentations and decks.
NOTE 2: Program issues means high profile, complex and or sensitive issues likely to gain public, stakeholder and media attention, which require a multidisciplinary approach.
