🎓EDUCATION
EDU1 - A secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives (see Note 1).
Note 1 : The employer-approved alternatives to a secondary school diploma are:
- A satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission test approved as an alternative to a secondary school diploma; or
- An acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
📌EXPERIENCE
EXP1 - Experience in managing or conducting one of the following:
- Inspections
- System audits
- Program evaluations in a marine or shore operational environment (Program evaluation could include safety investigations, gaps analysis, safety evaluation, after action reports).
EXP2 - Experience in interpreting and applying procedures or regulations in an operational environment.
EXP3 - Experience in planning the development and review of procedures, instructions and standards.
EXP4 - Experience providing advice, guidance or making recommendations to management*.
EXP5 - Experience working in partnership with clients, other government agencies or stakeholders.
EXP6 - Experience using MS Suite or Office Products.
*Management is defined as people who control and organize a business or government organizations.
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
🎓EDUCATION
AEDU1 - Diploma from a recognized post secondary institution in a field relevant to the duties of the position or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience.
🎓OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATION
AOC1 - Certificate of competency issued by Transport Canada or the Canadian Coast Guard (CCG). DND equivalencies are acceptable.
📌EXPERIENCE
AEXP1 - Significant* experience working in the marine shipping industry.
AEXP2 - Experience working in the federal government in a marine or operational environment.
*Significant refers to the breadth and depth of the experience normally acquired over a period of approximately two years.
