The immediate intention of this process is to staff one (1) Team Leader position and one (1) Technical Advisor position.
A pool of fully or partially qualified candidates may be established to staff similar positions at Elections Canada with varying tenures (such as indeterminate, specified period, acting) and various bilingual linguistic profiles (BBB/BBB, CCB/CCB, CBC/CBC or CCC/CCC).

EDUCATION
Successful completion of two years of an acceptable post-secondary educational program in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed.
Or
At the manager's discretion, an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience may serve as an alternative to the minimum post-secondary education stated above. Whenever the minimum education is met via this alternative, it is met for the specific position only and must be re-assessed for other positions for which this alternative has been specified by the manager.

EXPERIENCE
Recent* and significant** experience in writing and presenting materials for a senior audience (manager, director or above).
Recent* experience in participating in group planning session while leading and/or facilitating some discussion to achieve the development of IT solutions.
Recent* and significant** experience implementing IM/IT plans to achieve the objectives of the client or management.
Recent* and significant** experience in one or more of the following IT/IM disciplines:
· Infrastructure/Operations
· Application Development, Database and Data Administration
· Enterprise Architecture
· IT project management
· Security
Definition:
*Recent experience is defined as experience that was acquired within the last five years.
** Significant is defined to mean the depth and breadth of experience associated with having performed a broad range of duties for a period of approximately three (3) years.

Post-graduate degree in the field of IM/IT
ASSET PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATION
Certification applicable to the position, such as the Microsoft suite, ITIL, PMP, TOGAF and CISSP
ASSET EXPERIENCES
Recent* experience leading initiatives that leverage the engagement of multiple clients or business partners.
Recent* experience in procurement of IM/IT-related goods and services.
Recent* experience contributing to cost estimates or resource requirements.
Recent* experience managing contracts for the provision of IM/IT-related goods or services.
Recent* experience managing financial activities, such as budget management, forecasting, costing, providing estimates and tracking expenditures.

ASSET KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge of legislation, policies, standards and/or guidelines governing IM/IT in the Government of Canada.
Knowledge of architecture theories, principles, methodologies and frameworks.
Knowledge of project management techniques and methods in the management of projects in an IT environment.
Knowledge of the procurement process in the Government of Canada.
