Duties

PM-03: Project Officer
Project officers contribute to the formulation of policies, guidelines, procedures or performance standards relevant to the local response plan of the environmental response program in addition to contributing to the implementation of the regional stakeholder engagement plan.

AS-03: Analyst
Business and planning analysts are responsible for supporting managers of their directorates, ensuring the smooth running of budget and planning processes and providing recommendations.

Intent of the process

The Canadian Coast Guard Central Region branches currently have a need to fill Project Officer and Analyst positions of various profiles and duration.

A pool of prequalified candidates will be established from this process to fill the same or similar positions within the Department of Fisheries and Oceans Canada and the Canadian Coast Guard.

Ed1: A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Reliability Status security clearance

For AS-03 and PM-03 positions:
• All employees of the core public administration are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and attest to their vaccination status unless accommodated based on a medical contraindication, religion, or another prohibited ground for discrimination as defined under the Canadian Human Rights Act.
• Be willing and able to work overtime.

For PM-03 positions:
• Valid medical (Health Canada) as per employment requirements;
• Valid Driver’s License or mobility associated with a driver’s license;
• Able and willing to wear the Coast Guard uniform while on duty.
• May be required to drive long distances over rough roads and travel by small fixed wing aircraft, helicopter, boat and ferry. Inclement weather can occur resulting in arrival and/or departure delays.
• Be willing and able to travel upon short notice;
