WHAT WOULD YOUR ROLE BE?
As an OC advisor, you will be supporting the client organizations in delivering on their mandates by providing advice on organizational structure/design, on how to describe the duties of jobs as well as analyzing and evaluating jobs to establish the relative value of work, which is the basis for remuneration in the federal public service.
The training and development of our advisors is founded on a supportive and transparent development framework leading to accreditation, which includes the coaching of trainees through each stage of their development. Employee development never stops in the public service! Accredited advisors are provided with opportunities to lead exciting one-of-a-kind projects and initiatives and further develop their competencies.

This process will be used to fill several positions for immediate needs within four departments: ECCC, ISED, JUS, LAC.

To be considered, you must have:
Education:
-A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in human resources management, labour or industrial relations, psychology, public or business administration, organizational development, education sciences, social sciences, sociology, or in any other field relevant to the work to be performed. Notes 1 and 2 of the TBS standards apply.
You must also meet the following experience:
If applying to the PE-02 level:
- Experience in providing advice based on policies or legislation.
- Experience in conducting research, analyzing varied information, developing options and making recommendations.
If applying to the PE-03 level:
- Experience working in organizational design or evaluation of jobs
- Experience in providing advice based on policies or legislation on human resources issues.
- Experience researching, interpreting and applying policies and guidelines that govern human resources management.
Asset Criteria:
-Hay Plan certification or classification accreditation from the Treasury Board Secretariat of Canada
-Experience in evaluating jobs and defending decisions.
-Experience in the management of complaints or grievances.
