1. Work with the PrairiesCan Manitoba team to lead and support organizational change. We not only need you to figure out what’s needed, we need you to lead it.
2. Work with our Regional Management Team to assess change management activities and bring rigor to our decision-making and support for staff. We have a very high performing team; we need you to help us maximize our potential.
3. Lead the evolution of a change management strategy to support our new department and mandate. We need you to help navigate us through our evolving economic environment. Because, “The Times They Are A Changin’!”

Intent of the process

The intent is to fill an 18 month term opportunity with the possibility of extension. A pool of qualified candidates (fully assessed or partially assessed) may be established and may be used to staff similar positions at this group and level. This process may be used for various positions and tenures (including but not limited to term and indeterminate appointments, internal assignments, secondments, deployments, acting appointments, casual) as well as various locations, security requirements, language requirements and conditions of employment. The pool of qualified candidates may also be shared and accessed with other federal government departments.

Education:
• Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in a field relevant to the duties of the position.

At the manager’s discretion, an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience, may serve as an alternative to meet the education standard.

Degree equivalency

Experience:
• Experience in developing and executing change management strategies/plans.
• Experience advising management and executive decision making within competing and rapidly changing priorities.
• Experience in establishing and maintaining co-operative networks and collaborative relationships with internal and external partners.
• Experience in leading, managing and motivating a team of professionals.
• Experience in project management, including policy; planning; delivery and management of programs; services; or projects

Knowledge:
• Knowledge of change management principles and practices.
• Knowledge of project management principles and practices.
• Knowledge and understanding of the Manitoba economy and the roles PrairiesCan plays in Manitoba.
