In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

EDUCATION
Graduation with a degree from a recognized university or a combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE
EX1. Experience in providing advice as well as writing meeting records, briefing materials or speaking notes/key messages for senior management* based on research, analysis, recommendations and critical review;

EX2. Significant** experience acting as the focal point in a senior manager’s* office (or in close relationship with such an office) regarding who provides impact and oversight of priorities and projects, strategically coordinates the communication of information, correspondence and the routing of sensitive documents while providing direction * in the management of operational matters;

EX3. Significant** experience in leading a Senior management office*.

* Senior management is defined as a Vice-President or Director General or above.
**Significant experience is defined as the depth and breadth of experience normally acquired over a period of two (2) years.

ASSET - EXPERIENCE
AE1. Experience in developing office instructions and procedures;

AE2. Experience participating on departmental committees in a leadership role;

ASSET - KNOWLEDGE
AK1. Knowledge of issues related to CED’s mandate;
AK2 Knowledge of parliamentary operations and processes, including the functioning and processes related to Cabinet committees, Treasury Board processes and PCO functions and responsibilities, budgetary approval processes and cycles.

OPERATIONNAL REQUIREMENTS
- Willing and able to work overtime as needed and on short notice.
- Willing to work within tight deadlines and to simultaneously manage multiple priorities, projects and deliverables.
- Willing and available to work from CED’s office in Montreal.
