Duties

This is an Inspector position within the Aeronautical Information Services (AIS) team, which is a part of National Operations/Air Navigation Services (ANS) Division of Transport Canada. As such, the successful candidate will be responsible for the oversight of the aeronautical data chain and in particular the Aeronautical Information Services provided by the National Service Provider, NAV CANADA. The successful candidate will be conducting and leading inspections of the numerous stakeholders of the aeronautical data chain.

EDUCATION:
ED: A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience suitable for the position.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:
EX1: Experience in the provision or use of aeronautical information/data or aeronautical charting services.
EX2: Experience in air operations or air navigation services.

ASSET EDUCATION:
AED1: Post-secondary graduation certificate related to a program in aviation, geography or geomatics.

Degree equivalency

ASSET EXPERIENCE:
AEX1: Experience in Safety Management System or Quality Management System.
AEX2: Experience in air operations such as flight service specialist or aeronautical information service specialist, air navigation services, navigator, dispatcher, flight operation or equivalent military air operations experience.
AEX3: Experience in the planning or development or provision of domestic or international aeronautical information services as well as associated telecommunications and automated systems.
