We are committed to providing an inclusive and barrier-free work environment, starting with the hiring process. If you need to be accommodated during any phase of the evaluation process, please use the Contact information below to request specialized accommodation. All information received in relation to accommodation will be kept confidential.
When you apply to this selection process, you are not applying for a specific job, but to an inventory for future vacancies. As positions become available, applicants who meet the qualifications may be contacted for further assessment.
Candidates must clearly demonstrate with concrete examples, IN THE PRE-SCREENING QUESTIONS, how they meet the education and experience factors listed in the essential qualifications. Only screening questionnaire will be used during pre-screening process. We may use resumes as a secondary source to validate the answers to the pre-screening questions. Candidates who fail to provide sufficient information will be eliminated from further consideration.
Please be advised this process will be used to staff positions in the new department of Indigenous Services Canada. The creation of Indigenous Services Canada is an important development in our renewed relationship with Indigenous peoples. These structural changes will allow our government to work more effectively with Indigenous partners to provide services that improve people’s day-to-day quality of life. The candidates are encouraged to visit the website https://www.canada.ca/en/indigenous-services-canada.html for more information on various programs and services
When vacancies become available, candidates will be selected from the inventory using one or more of the following means: random selection of applications, top down selection of applications and/or specific asset criteria deemed necessary for the position(s) being staffed. Selected applications will then be screened and candidates will be contacted if their application is given further consideration in the assessment process.
For some positions, Public Service employees at the same group and level or equivalent will first be considered for deployment. If no deployment is made, applicants may be selected by other means.
This process will be used to create a pool of qualified candidates to staff positions with various tenures (term, indeterminate, acting appointment) within Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada and Indigenous Services Canada.
Any candidates who are assessed and not successful in this job opportunity process will not be considered further but are welcome to reapply on future similar processes.
Please note that this process will ONLY be used to staff positions in Winnipeg, Manitoba and in the National Capital Region - Other locations (Ontario). Applicants are encouraged to apply ONLY if they are able to relocate.
