Work Environment
The team is part of the Department’s Human Resources and Security Directorate, which acts as the focal point for driving people management excellence across the organization. It relies on strong partnerships and collaboration with departments and agencies across the Government of Canada and with leading wellness and mental health experts.
The team is dedicated to building a healthy and respectful work environment, aligned with the National Standard of Canada for Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace by: a) influencing the culture to be respectful of the wellbeing and mental health of all employees; b) building capacity with tools and resources for managers and employees; and c) measuring and reporting on actions.

EDUCATION:
ED 1 - A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
EXPERIENCE:
E1 – Significant* experience developing and/or implementing corporate programs or services in support of employee wellbeing.
E2 - Experience analyzing and synthesizing data from a variety of sources and writing reports.
E3 - Experience providing strategic advice to clients and management.
E4 - Experience developing and delivering presentations, information sessions and/or training session.
E5 - Experience leading projects or programs.
* Significant experience refers to the depth and breadth of experience normally acquired over a period of approximately two (2) years full-time.
KNOWLEDGE:
K1 - In-depth understanding of the 13 factors of psychological health and safety in the workplace.
ABILITIES:

ASSET EDUCATION QUALIFICATION:
AED1 - Post-secondary diploma or degree from a recognized institution in a wellness related field (e.g. psychology, mental health, etc.).
ASSET EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:
AE1 - Working experience in the federal Public Service in the field of Wellness, mental health in the workplace or Occupational Health and Safety.
AE2 – Experience applying the National Standard of Canada for Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace.

Secret security clearance - COVID-19 Vaccination:
On October 6, 2021, the Government of Canada announced details of its plans to require vaccination across the federal public service.
As per the new Policy on COVID-19 Vaccination for the Core Public Administration Including the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, federal public servants in the Core Public Administration and members of the RCMP must attest to their vaccination status. The requirement for employees to be fully vaccinated applies whether they are teleworking, working remotely or working on-site. This is a condition of employment and it applies to indeterminate (permanent), determinate (term), casual, and student hiring. Should you reach the point in the selection process where it is necessary to verify terms and conditions of employment then the hiring manager or a human resources representative will contact you in order to complete an attestation.

Management may decide to use a cut-off mark that is higher than the pass mark on any evaluation used throughout the process.
