Prairies Economic Development is looking for an Assistant Deputy Minister to lead operations in Alberta. We need a champion for Alberta’s economic interests. About the role:
The ADM, Alberta Region reports to the Deputy Minister and is accountable for delivering PrairiesCan's economic development programs in Alberta. This key leadership position directs strategic grants and contributions investments in federal priority areas, advocates for provincial economic interests, gathers and shares intelligence between Alberta and Ottawa, and is a regional delivery agent of special federal initiatives.

Experience:
• Significant leadership experience including managing complex financial and human resources matters.
• Experience collaborating and maintaining partnerships.
Asset Qualifications:
• Post-secondary education in a field relevant to the position.
• Experience in designing, managing and evaluating programs with a focus on economic development or public policy.
• Experience growing a business.
• Experience providing advice to Ministers, Chief Executive Officers or Chairs of the Board.
• Public sector experience.
• Diplomacy and political acumen
• Established professional networks in Alberta
