This inventory is evergreen and will be used to staff immediate and future PM-04 vacant positions of various linguistic profiles, conditions of employment, geographic locations, security requirements and various tenures (permanent, specified term, acting, deployment, assignment, term, secondment) within the Public Health Agency of Canada.
Therefore, all applicants seeking this type of position and/or group and level are encouraged to apply, including those already at the PM-04 group and level.
The immediate intent of this process is to staff:
- 2 (two) English essential positions on a temporary or indeterminate basis in Toronto, Ontario.
- 1 (one) Bilingual imperative BBB/BBB on an indeterminate basis in Toronto, Ontario.
- 2 (two) anticipatory Bilingual imperative BBB/BBB positions in Montreal, Quebec.
- 1 (one) anticipatory Bilingual imperative CBC/CBC position on an indeterminate basis in Moncton, New Brunswick.
- 2 (two) English essential positions on a temporary or indeterminate basis in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
- 2 (two) English essential positions on a temporary or indeterminate basis in Regina, Saskatchewan.
- 1 (one) English essential position on a temporary basis in Alberta or British Columbia.
Presently, there are official locations (designated workplaces*) of the positions as above to be staffed, however on a case-by-case basis, a telework arrangement could be considered within respective regions. Therefore, individuals who believe they meet the listed essential qualifications of the position, regardless of where they live, are encouraged to apply.
*Designated workplace: location of work or business address where the employee would work if a telework, hoteling or remote working arrangement was not in place.

Education (Essential):
A secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives (see Note 1).
Note:
The employer-approved alternatives to a secondary school diploma are:
A satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission test approved as an alternative to a secondary school diploma; or
An acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
Experience - Essential:
Experience in delivering one or more of the following programs:
→Federal program
→Indigenous program
→Provincial program
→Municipal program
→Community-based health programs; or
→Social sector programs.
Experience in developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with Provincial/Territorial governments, Indigenous peoples and governments, Municipal governments, non-government organizations, or community stakeholders.
Candidates MAY also be required to meet ONE OR MORE of the following experience factors, depending on the requirements of the specific position being staffed. The following criteria could be deemed as essential or asset, depending on the needs of the position.
Education:
Graduation with an undergraduate university degree with an acceptable specialization in health, social sciences or public administration.
Experience:
Experience in facilitating and supporting multi-disciplinary working groups.
Experience working with northern or Indigenous communities/organizations.
Experience in budget management (i.e. program funding, expenditures, program allocations or forecasting).
Experience in monitoring contracts, grants, or contribution agreements.
Experience in coordinating and preparing summaries, reports and briefing materials for colleagues and management.
Significant* experience delivering health or social sector programs in a regional, local or community context.
Significant* experience in the planning, management or delivery of projects or programs in a community setting.
*Significant Experience required in areas as follows and defined as having depth and breadth of experience normally associated with formally performing these activities over a three year period.
Operational Requirements:
Willingness and ability to travel occasionally within the province/territory/region and nationally.
Willingness and ability to work extended hours or overtime on short notice
Willingness and ability to be mobilized or remain on standby during health emergency response activations.

g) As per the Policy on COVID-19 Vaccination for the Core Public Administration Including the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, federal public servants in the Core Public Administration and members of the RCMP must attest to their vaccination status.
