At Indigenous Services Canada, we work in collaboration with partners to improve access to high quality services for First Nations, Inuit and Métis communities. Your work will focus on working collaboratively with Indigenous leadership as well as celebrating Indigenous cultures to achieve community aspirations with a focus on better outcomes.
Our team supports professional development for Indigenous employees through mentoring, training and career advancement opportunities. The Indigenous Career Navigators Program, among others, is designed to provide advice and guidance to Indigenous employees.
The regional office is located in Amherst, NS, a central town within the Maritime provinces located 40 minutes from Moncton, NB. It stands out for the variety of family businesses, historic buildings and charming architecture. Amherst is known for its festivals and activities. The Atlantic Regional Office provide services to the provinces of Newfoundland and Labrador, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. This means support for 34 First Nations and 5 Inuit communities.
This process aims to create an inventory of Indigenous persons for opportunities of varying lengths in different job categories.
To submit your application, you simply need to upload your resume to the system and answer the yes/no screening questions. Then, we will contact you to determine your job profile, interests and career aspirations. As positions become available within the organization, applicants may be contacted by hiring managers for an assessment, specific to the opportunity.
