Intent of the process

The immediate intention of this process is to staff five (5) positions with varying tenures.

A pool of fully or partially qualified candidates may be established to staff similar positions at Elections Canada with varying tenures (such as indeterminate, specified period, acting, deployment, assignment and secondment) and various bilingual linguistic profiles (BBB/BBB, CBC/CBC or CCC/CCC).

EDUCATION
A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution.

Notes:
Based on their education, training and/or experience, indeterminate incumbents of positions in the IS classification are deemed to meet the minimum education standard whenever a bachelor's degree without specialization is called for in a position classified as IS.

At the manager's discretion, an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience, may serve as an alternative to the minimum education standard.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCES
Experience developing and implementing communications plans or products.
Experience supporting and dealing with clients or stakeholders.
Experience providing advice and recommendations to supervisors or management on communications, outreach or engagement issues.

ASSET/ EXPERIENCES
Experience using web platforms to produce electronic newsletters and surveys.
Experience of project management or coordinating horizontal projects involving many stakeholders.
Experience in coordinating corporate events.

Experience in marketing or promotion.
Experience coordinating print and electronic publishing.
Experience in editing of general or specialized English texts (e.g. those of an administrative, financial or legal nature) and French-to-English comparative editing of general or specialized texts (e.g. those of an administrative, financial or legal nature) for various audiences.

Experience in assisting in either the development or implementation of programs related to public consultation, civic education or outreach.
