Due to Covid-19 pandemic and until further notice, our teams currently work virtually from home using the latest technologies to stay connected.
When a return to the workplace will be possible, depending on the nature of the work required by the position and operational needs, hybrid forms of work, such as a combination of on-site work and telework, compressed work schedules, will be possibilities.
This process will be used to staff 1 indeterminate position. A pool of qualified or partially qualified candidates will be established and could be used to staff similar positions whose length, linguistic profiles and security profiles may vary.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS - EDUCATION:
ED1. High School Diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE:
EX1. Recent* experience in delivering Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) programs;
EX2. Experience in developing Occupational Health and Safety procedures, policies and/or guidelines; and
EX3. Experience in writing reports, documents and other information materials for various clients/stakeholders.
*Recent experience is defined as having been acquired within the last 5 years.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS - KNOWLEDGE:
K1. Knowledge of the Canada Labour Code Part II and Occupational Health and Safety regulations that apply to workplaces under federal jurisdiction.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS - ABILITIES AND SKILLS:
AB1. Ability to interpret Occupational Health and Safety policies, regulations and/or directives;
AB2. Ability to communicate effectively orally;
AB3. Ability to communicate effectively in writing;
AB4. Working effectively with others;
AB5. Demonstrating integrity and respect;
AB6. Showing initiative and being action-oriented; and
AB7. Thinking things through.

AED1. Post-secondary diploma from a recognized institution in a field related to Occupational Health and Safety.
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE:
AEX1. Working experience in the field of wellness or mental health in the workplace;
AEX2. Experience in delivering training sessions or presentations

INFORMATION CONCERNING MANDATORY VACCINATION:
On October 6, 2021, the Government of Canada announced details of its plans to require vaccination across the federal public service.
As per the new Policy on COVID-19 Vaccination for the Core Public Administration Including the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, federal public servants in the Core Public Administration and members of the RCMP must attest to their vaccination status. The requirement for employees to be fully vaccinated applies whether they are teleworking, working remotely or working on-site. This is a condition of employment and it applies to indeterminate (permanent), determinate (term), casual, and student hiring. Should you reach the point in the selection process where it is necessary to verify terms and conditions of employment then the hiring manager or a human resources representative will contact you in order to complete an attestation.
Preference will be given to veterans first and then to Canadian citizens and permanent residents, with the exception of a job located in Nunavut, where Nunavut Inuit will be appointed first.
