As Social Media Strategist, you will be part of a creative and multi-talented team where you can use your expertise to build our social media presence and influence.

Work environment

Subject to the Public Service Employment Act (PSEA), we offer the same pension and benefits plans as the core public administration. Intent of the process

We are seeking to staff one (1) indeterminate (permanent) position.

This selection process may be used to establish a pool of qualified candidates, which could be used to staff similar or identical positions with various linguistic profiles and requirements, security profiles and various tenures.

EDUCATION

Graduation with a degree from a recognized university in public relations, communications, marketing, journalism or a field relevant to the position OR an acceptable combination of education, training and experience.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE

EX1: Recent and significant experience* writing, editing and/or producing a variety of communications products such as social media, blog articles, video scripts, infographics, storyboards;
EX2: Recent and significant* experience developing, implementing and evaluating national social media strategies and campaigns to engage key target audiences;
EX3: Recent and significant* experience coordinating national social media campaigns with partners and/or stakeholders;
EX4: Recent and significant* experience providing analysis, advice and recommendations to clients, stakeholders and senior management** on social media and digital communications activities;
EX5: Experience overseeing the work of team members; and
EX6: Experience responding to public social media queries, monitoring, and reporting using analytics.

Definitions:

Recent and significant* experience is defined as the breadth and depth of experience normally associated with full-time performance of duties for a period of two years or more within the last four years.

**Senior management is defined as a Director-level or higher.
