Canmet Materials operates pilot scale manufacturing facilities and a fabrication shop. The shipper and receiver will [or may] be called upon to assist or operate some of this equipment such as a water-jet machine. Experience is not required as training will be provided.

EDUCATION:
Successful completion of secondary school or PSC approved alternative

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:
- providing and overseeing store services such as the shipping, receiving, storing, recording, and issuing of material;
- procuring supplies and equipment;
- preparing accurate and complete shipping documentation;
- operating a computer;

- of shipping and receiving procedures and techniques;
- of the methods and practices used to set up and maintain a stores area;
- of practices for the safe operation of motor vehicles and forklifts;
- of inventory control practices and processes;
- observing and incorporating health and safety guidelines, processes and procedures in work activities and at the work site.

ABILITIES:

- code, review and verify travel and removal expenses, invoices, and other accounts;
-to handle and lift large quantities of heavy materiel and equipment weighing up to 45 kg or up to 400 kg with mechanical assistance

Conditions of employment

Reliability Status security clearance

CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT:
- Valid Driver's Licence;
- Ability to operate an electric hand truck, a forklift truck
- Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime.
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment including but not limited to hardhat, CSA certified safety footwear with metatarsal guard, hearing protection, breathing apparatus.
