POLICY ON COVID-19 VACCINATION
Effective October 6, 2021, the Government of Canada implemented a new Policy on COVID-19 Vaccination for the Core Public Administration Including the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (https://www.tbs-sct.gc.ca/pol/doc-eng.aspx?id=32694), impacting the core public administration. Education:

EED1. Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in natural, physical or applied science with specialization in a field relevant to the duties of the position, such as food microbiology, biochemistry or biology.

Degree equivalency

Experience:

EEx1. Experience analysing scientific information/data and drawing conclusions.
EEx2. Experience participating in multidisciplinary projects.
EEx3. Experience in the preparation of written reports.

Knowledge:

EK1. Knowledge of the theories and procedures in biological science in the context of food safety, for example, the use of whole genome sequencing
EK2. Knowledge of procedures pertaining to risk assessment.
EK3. Knowledge of current issues in microbiological food safety in Canada.

Abilities:

EA1. Ability to communicate effectively orally.
EA2. Ability to communicate effectively in writing.
EA3. Ability to respond to tight deadlines and shifting priorities.
EA4. Ability to draw logical conclusions from scientific information.
EA5. Ability to work closely with other multidisciplinary scientific professionals for the evaluation of complex scenarios.
