WORKPLACE:

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, employees of Indigenous Services Canada are currently working remotely. Therefore, the candidate may initially have to work remotely until further notice. The department is actively working on a flexible, phased approach for the safe return of employees to their usual workspaces.

The official workplace for the above positions is located in Quebec City. Depending on the needs and requirements of the service, the possibility of entering into a formal telework arrangement could be considered. Duties

→ Tasks of Regional program development advisor
The incumbent of the position will be part of the regional governance team and will be responsible for the delivery of grants and contributions‎ in support to Indian governments, such as the professional and institutional development program, as well as providing tailored services to communities and partners to help build community and governance capacity.

→ Tasks of Senior officer, Funding arrangements
As a representative of Indigenous Services Canada, the Senior Officer liaises with First Nations and other organizations. He provides administrative and financial advice to external and internal clients concerning the funding of the department's programs and services.

→ Tasks of Regional advisor, Social programs and partnerships
Within the Social Programs and Partnerships team, the selected candidate will actively contribute to supporting First Nations in their objectives to improve the safety and well-being of children, families and vulnerable clienteles. The counsellors are in direct contact with community professionals to support them in the funding and content of social programs.

→ Tasks of Regional program development team leader
The incumbent will be part of the Individual Services team and will be responsible for the delivery of programs such as Estates, Registration or Curatorship. He will be responsible for the day-to-day implementation of program orientations and the management of the team. Duties include developing operational objectives, assigning tasks, supervising a work team and maintaining relationships with various program partners.

Intent of the process

The immediate intent of this selection process is to staff one term position as a SENIOR OFFICER, FUNDING ARRANGEMENTS, one indeterminate position as a REGIONAL PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT TEAM LEADER and two indeterminate and one term position as REGIONAL ADVISOR, SOCIAL PROGRAMS AND PARTNERSHIPS.

This advertised process is also ANTICIPATORY for these positions : REGIONAL PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT ADVISOR, SENIOR OFFICER, FUNDING ARRANGEMENTS AND REGIONAL PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT TEAM LEADER.

A pool of candidates may be established to staff similar or identical position at Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) with various tenure, linguistic profiles or security requirements, which may vary.

EXPERIENCE
Significant** experience in analyzing information, including financial information, and in formulating strategic advice and recommendations for management on issues related to programs, services or projects.

Information on employment equity

On October 6, 2021, the Government of Canada announced details of its plans to require vaccination across the federal public service.
