On October 6, 2021, the Government of Canada announced details of its plans to require vaccination across the federal public service. As per the new Policy on COVID-19 Vaccination for the Core Public Administration Including the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, federal public servants in the Core Public Administration and members of the RCMP must attest to their vaccination status. The requirement for employees to be fully vaccinated applies whether they are teleworking, working remotely or working on-site. This is a condition of employment and it applies to indeterminate (permanent), determinate (term), casual, and student hiring. Should you reach the point in the selection process where it is necessary to verify terms and conditions of employment then the hiring manager or a human resources representative will contact you in order to complete an attestation.
ONLY APPLICATIONS SUBMITTED ON-LINE USING THE 'APPLY ON-LINE' BUTTON ABOVE WILL BE CONSIDERED.

The student will be responsible for performing field research, which includes collecting data on microclimates, native bees and native bee ecology, as well as processing and identifying bees to specimens in Eastern Ontario region. Additional responsibilities may include data analysis, and contributing to the preparation of a manuscript.
The Landscape Science and Technology Division (LSTD) of Environment and Climate Change Canada is located at the National Wildlife Research Centre (NWRC) on the campus of Carleton University in Ottawa. Located within the nation’s capital the NWRC allows for collaboration between government researchers and the students and faculty at both the University of Ottawa and Carleton University. LSTD brings together researchers in the complementary fields of landscape ecology, climate change ecology, and geomatics, who together conduct research that addresses environmental issues at large spatial extents. This position will provide the opportunity to collaborate with researchers in government and academia.
