On October 6, 2021, the Government of Canada announced details of its plans to require vaccination across the federal public service.
As per the new Policy on COVID-19 Vaccination for the Core Public Administration Including the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, federal public servants in the Core Public Administration and members of the RCMP must attest to their vaccination status. The requirement for employees to be fully vaccinated applies whether they are teleworking, working remotely or working on-site. This is a condition of employment and it applies to indeterminate (permanent), determinate (term), casual, and student hiring. Should you reach the point in the selection process where it is necessary to verify terms and conditions of employment then the hiring manager or a human resources representative will contact you in order to complete an attestation.
When submitting your application, you will also have to answer questions regarding the essential experience requirements. You must clearly demonstrate how you meet the requirements by answering the online screening questions. It is not sufficient to only state that the qualifications are met or to only provide a listing of current or past responsibilities. You must clearly explain how you acquired each qualification by giving concrete examples. Information on your described education and experience in the screening questions must be supported by your resume.
Failure to provide the above information in the format required may result in your application being eliminated from the process.
We will communicate with you about this process by email. As a result, you must update your Public Service Resourcing System profile if it changes. Applicants should use an email address that accepts messages from unknown senders (some email systems block such messages).
A written exam will be part of the assessment process.
Screening of applications or selection of candidates may be based on asset qualifications, operational requirements, or the organizational needs, depending on the requirements of the specific position being staffed.
All information obtained throughout the selection process, from the time of application to close of process, may/will be used to evaluate the candidates.
Please note that any and all communication relating to this process, including screening question answers, your resume, and/or any other written correspondence, may be used to assess your proficiency in your first official language.
We thank all those who apply.
